What's around and what is coming soon...
A new year has turned over and it’s time for me to brush up on all the writing projects! As you probably noticed, Escape from Ice Mountain wrapped! It is the first arc in the Dragon’s Grail serial, and it will stay a free read in perpetuity. Eventually, I’ll turn it into a book (digital and print) so you can buy it if you want!
So, to answer the question no one is asking: what’s next?
That’s easy to answer! Coming January 15th: Dragon’s Grail Arc 2 The Lost City begins!
This sees Astra and company working their way through the ominous Blue Forest to a strange, deserted city with it’s own mysteries and dangers!
After that, I will be queuing up the long awaited (by me, at least) serial Transmigrated Teri.
What is that about? It is a serial about a bitter GenX office lady (Teri Graves) who dies and wakes up in the world of her most beloved (and also most loathed) fantasy novel series…as the evil stepmother!
It’s basically a canon-divergence fix-it fanfic for a story that doesn’t actually exist, the Allisar Fireborn Chronicles, written by Chadwick Jarvaldson (aka “Fuckin’ Chad” by his devoted but put-upon fanbase), a legendary epic fantasy story in the spirit of the “chosen one” tropes so popular in the genre in the 1990s. …yes, I have had to actually outline five books that don’t exist so that I know what to do with Teri when she shows up at Luttiron Castle believing she’s in a coma (look, she knows her manga, okay, she is HIP to the TROPE!).
Starting February 1st, 2025!!!!!!!!!
In other news, The Bastards of Yunmeng is drafted out to about 130k words, with over half that posted (Chapter 40 going up on Wednesday!). It is a fanfiction in the 陈情令 | The Untamed (TV) / 魔道祖师-墨香铜臭 | Módào Zǔshī fandom and is housed over on AO3!
To be perfectly honest it is so AU at this point I don’t think you really need to be familiar with canon to read it, but of course if you are then you will see a lot of easter eggs throughout! And it’s only getting weirder from here. Enjoy?
